ABOUT DR. REITER

Prior to my current practice, I worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families at Alvord Baker & Associates, a group practice in Rockville, MD. Prior to this, I was the team Psychologist at a pediatric and adolescent clinic at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

I have been licensed since 2008 and hold licenses to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, New York, and am a member of PsyPact, which allows me to provide Telehealth (virtual sessions) across 42 States.

While originally from New York, I have lived in the Metro DC area most of my life, and am thus very familiar with the local neighborhoods, schools, and pressures that can come with living here. I currently live in Maryland with my wife, three children, and two rescue dogs. When not working I am spending time with my family, cheering for the Ravens, busy with DIY projects around the house, and am an avid runner.

Education & Training

I earned my Doctoral (Ph.D.) and Master’s Degrees in Clinical Psychology at The George Washington University. After this, I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, before working at Downstate Medical Center as a Child and Adolescent Psychologist. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rochester with Honors in Psychology and a Minor in Philosophy. My training and education is rooted in evidence-based treatments.
