Dr. Michael Reiter earned his Masters and Doctoral degrees from The George Washington University and completed his pre-doctoral internship at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He then served as program psychologist in a pediatric and adolescent clinic at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Reiter subsequently worked with adolescents, young adults, and families at Alvord, Baker and Associates, in Rockville, MD. He currently sees clients in his private practice in Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Reiter lives in Maryland with his wife, three children, and two dogs.

Dr. Michael Reiter primarily uses a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to his work with children, adolescents, and adults in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders including: Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, OCD, Panic Attacks & Agoraphobia, and Phobias (e.g., dogs, heights, needles, insects). He has expertise in ADHD and Executive Functioning challenges in children and adults, and in providing parents support and guidance around these and related issues; he previously coordinated Montgomery County CHADD parent support group meetings.
